Welcome to the MAD Bashers Website!

We are the MAD (Make A Difference) Bashers! We have entered ourselves in the grueling 10 day Port to Port XXXX Variety Bash from Southport to Port Douglas, some 2000+ km via the outback with 200 other themed 30+ year old cars! (We must be MAD!)

It’s all for a great cause – our teams goal is to smash last years highest fund-raising entry of $125,000. The money raised will be used by Variety Qld to provide awesome support to sick, disabled and disadvantaged kids in our Qld community. This includes grants for medical equipment, Sunshine Buses to transport disabled kids to and from schools, and Liberty Swings in public parks for wheelchair bound kids, plus lots more!

We are currently seeking one or more major sponsors for our entry. The lucky sponsor/s will get massive community exposure through media attention that this huge event gains. Last year, some $2.3+ million worth of media exposure was provided to Variety Qld, including an hour long documentary shown just after the event!

If you have other ideas or can help by arranging a local fundraiser to support our entry, please contact us. We have had people requesting donations for their birthday bashes instead of presents, businesses running in house raffles, and schools and childcare centres taking on internal fundraising. We thank everyone in the community for their support, no matter how big or small it seems… It all makes a HUGE difference!
