Day 5 – Lunch with Mustered

Lake Dunn – Charters Towers

Bash forecast – Dry, Dusty and Windy at lunch tine for 5 minutes

Woke up ccccold again and broke out my 2nd sleeping bag to discover it was time to get up anyway…

A cup of tea, a few snags and some smoko provisions for the road and we were on our way… Starting in AW308 for a few hours and then joining David in his mean dual axle ute 1108 for a fun ride… Took some awesome footage before he encountered problems with a noisy diff. He continued his journey much slower than he would have liked ;0(

I joined the guys in 308 again for a qik lift across a creek to take some footage but they didn’t stop and spent rest of day with them.

Arriving at Twin Hills racecourse for lunch, there seemed to be alot of commotion happening – Damien the clown had got rid of his clown outfit and assumed some sort of female character with way too much cheek showing – not good when everyone trying to eat lunch!!

Before too long, he was in the arena being “mustered”…808 decided to so a bit of circle work on the arena too which was entertaining ;0)

We were treated to a 150km stretch of beautiful dust free bitumen road which was a great opportunity for a well needed afternoon Kip before the 150km of dirt to Charters Towers… Lucky I stocked up with a few beers to help the dust down – helps when I’m navigating too ;0)

Getting into Charters 5.30, we had plenty of tine to prepare ourselves for tonites theme party – skirts and flirts… After seeing Damiens outfit at lunchtime – i’m frightened at what we will be in for!!!
