Day 8 On Top Of The World

Today we travelled through the far north Qld hinterland stopping at Ravenshoe school for an awesome lunch and show by the kids… Once again, we all ate way too much and the arvo was a struggle to stay awake as the navigator even over some rough dirt tracks!
A short drive after lunch to qld’s highest pub Baron Falls Hotel at Ravenshoe for a beer stop and photo of first time bashers… I could sense there was some mischief going in and I was right… Somebody threw what must have been a 44 gallon bucket worth of water over the verandah… Should make an awesome photo ;0)
Got into our last night camping stop quite early at Tinnaburra… An absolutely stunning spit on Tinaroo Dam… Variety had arranged what must be the largest marquee in the world and once again we were treated to great food and entertainment…
If you’ve ever considered coming on a bash – I say it is a must do at least once in your life (watchout though it’s adictive!!)… Not only will you make a difference to kids here in Qld with some fundraising, you’ll meet some bloody amazing people that would do anything for fellow bashers to help!! Such a great community and atmosphere!
An earlyish night for me tonite as I am knackered! I know some of the lads had a big night on the shrek bus though! I also woke during the night to giggles next door as some pranksters stuffed someones swags chocoblock full of balloons
